The Boeing, with 174 people on board, whose crew discovered a crack in the windshield, ultimately landed without further incident at Krasnoyarsk Airport in Siberia.

The Boeing 737 whose windshield cracked in flight landed in emergency Sunday in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, after having flown in the air for a few hours to burn its fuel, announced the service of press from Krasnoyarsk Emelianovo airport.

Passengers on the Boeing continued their journey to China in another aircraft waiting for them at Krasnoyarsk Airport while the Boeing burned fuel in the air to lighten its weight.

"A NordStar reserve plane carrying the passengers of the Novosibirsk-Sanya flight took off at 6.38 pm [12:38 pm Paris time] from Krasnoyarsk," the press service said.
