The video of the hailstorm in Siberia - The Post
A video showing an impressive hail storm that hit Saturday on Novosibirsk beach, one of the largest cities in Siberia, Russia, is circulating very online. The weather was particularly hot that day - around 36 degrees, 10 more than the usual July average - and many people had gone to the beach along the Ob River. The video shows the sudden arrival of a strong wind, the darkening of the sky, the rain and finally hail, with large grains in some cases such as golf balls: people are initially amused but then they start screaming and running away frightened. The storm also caused the death of two 3 and 4 year old girls in Bredsk, a lake town not far from Novosibirsk: they suffered serious injuries caused by the fall of a tree, while they sought shelter in tents with their families. An investigation has been opened to clarify the causes of the accident.
